    Your Teacher

    Mar7aba! I'm Ibra.

I'm a native Lebanese Arabic speaker living in Bucharest for over 10 years. With 5+ years of teaching experience on platforms like Preply.com and others, I've helped dozens of students discover the beauty of the Lebanese language and culture.

My courses combine practical conversation with authentic cultural insights — from everyday expressions to Lebanese culinary traditions. My approach is based on real communication, not just grammar.

    Why the Lebanese Arabic Centre

    Why learn with Ibra?

    1. 01

      The only centre in Bucharest

Dedicated to Lebanese Arabic: the dialect people speak, understood across much of the Arab world.

    2. 02

      Easy to start

You write what you hear, in Arabizi, with no alphabet first. You speak first, grammar comes after.

    3. 03

      Neutral Lebanese, like Beirut's

No regional accents, but with the synonyms and spellings, so you recognise them anywhere.

    4. 04

      Correct pronunciation

The sounds 2, 3, 5, 7, 8: breathing, syllables, tongue position, until you say them right.

    5. 05

      What others don't teach

Culture, humour, everyday phrases and slang — even the words others avoid, so you know what you hear and how to react.

    6. 06

      Structured and personal

A1 → C2, with clear goals at every level and personal attention, even in a group.

Who is it for? Lebanese roots, a Lebanese partner or family, or work: official papers are in Standard Arabic, but daily life happens in dialect.

Arabizi, with the Arabic script alongside

Write what you hear. No alphabet to learn first.

Lessons are in Arabizi: Lebanese written in Latin letters and numbers (7 = ح). The Arabic script appears in lessons only if you also learn the alphabet — optional, from B1 or B2. Here we show it alongside, so you can see what each phrase looks like.

In Arabizi the numbers stand for sounds English doesn't have. The full Arabizi guide →
